Beginning in the 1970’s, he worked with the pre-eminent typography experts at Spindler Productions, New York’s leading audio/visual production company. In the 1980’s, Joe learned the art of typography from the most graphic-talented designers of the day at Pastore, Depamphilis & Rampone Typographers. In 19Visual89, he found himself in the position of Art Director working with Archie and the gang at Archie Comics until 2010.
Dusty an avid automotive enthusiast/ entrepreneur/former Capt. USMC [Naval aviator] and co-owner of Manifest Design in Wilmington NC, has owned many collector automobiles in his lifetime. Dusty states that his first real performance car a 1968 fire yellow Corvette Stingray was purchased from the Pensacola Buggy Works during his flight training in Florida. All the flight studs were car crazy then and the Buggy Works sold more Corvettes than any Chevy Dealer in the US. Cars that followed during Dusty’s business career included GTOs, Firebirds, Mustangs, Porches, Jaguars, Afas, Vipers, [even a VW thing] and of course Corvettes. Dusty has traveled all over the world and the one thing that he has found in his travels is the universal love for American muscle cars. Today, Dusty owns several interesting corvettes – a 1993 Anniversary convertible with 1500 miles showing on the odometer and a 1987 Callaway twin turbo, one of only 450 produced. His garage also includes a beautiful red 1955 T-Bird and an SRC British Cobra that is in the final stages of completion.
